REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL

     The Greater Gadsden Housing Authority (GGHA) requests proposals in order to secure 3 separate contracts for lawn and grounds maintenance in Seven (7) GGHA communities. The contract is for (3) years / growing season with the possibility of a contract extension for a fourth season. The 1st season will begin in March 2024 and end October 31, 2024, the 2nd season will begin in March 2025 and end October 31, 2025. The 3rd season will begin March 2026 and end October 31, 2026. If the contract is extended the 4th season will begin March 2027 and end October 31, 2027. 

     If anyone is interested in submitting a bid on any of the contracts or all please notify Misty Mason at (256)547-0839 for a copy of the Bid Package. A contractor will only be awarded one (1) contract.  However, the GGHA reserves the right to extend an additional contract if the remaining bids are substantially higher and exceeds the GGHA budget.

      Proposals will be accepted in the office of the Executive Director located at 422 Chestnut Street, Gadsden, AL 35901 until 2:00 p.m. CST on Wednesday, February 21, 2024. Any proposals received after this time will not be considered. The RFP and specifications may be obtained at the office of the Purchasing Agent, located at 500 Tuscaloosa Avenue, Gadsden, Alabama 35901, or by calling (256) 547-0839. All bids shall remain in effect for ninety (90) days following the date of the bid opening and may not be withdrawn during that time without the consent of the Greater Gadsden Housing Authority. 

     There will be a Pre-Bid conference held on Tuesday February 6, 2024 @ 10:00 a.m. at the Central Maintenance Office located at 500 Tuscaloosa Avenue Gadsden, AL  35901 to discuss the upcoming lawn contract and viewing of properties. 

     The Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and also reserves the right not to enter into any contract as a result of this request.
