Public Housing Applicants:
The GGHA is now currently accepting online applications. You can apply by clicking the button below. You also may apply for housing by coming by the main office at 422 Chestnut Street to pick up an application or print and fill out the application by clicking here for application.
Once you have completed the application in its entirety; make sure to include a good contact phone number and email address. Then call (256) 547-2501 to schedule an interview appointment. If filling out the paper application, please be sure to bring the application and all required documents listed on the application to the interview. If applying online, please bring all required documents listed on the application to the interview.

Social Security Cards
All final divorce decrees
Marriage certificate
Most current landlord’s name and complete mailing address
Employer’s name and complete mailing address
Most recent Social Security/SSI printout
Veterans benefit printout/award letter
Food stamp Letter
Current bank statements (2 consecutive months)
